     SIMPLE PRESENT (yo corro)

1. USOS: Se utiliza para

Presente	Frases ciertas	I‘m thirsty The sun sets in the west  I like music
	Hábitos o acciones repetidas en el presente	She works in New York

2. FORMAS: TODAS LAS FORMAS MENOS “TO BE” Y  “TO HAVE”:

- Se pone el verbo tal igual que en infinitivo, pero en ―he/ she/ it‖ se añade una –S al final

- En los verbos que acaban en S / SH / CH / X se pone –es (watch–watches)

- En los verbos que acaban en O se pone –es (do-does)

- En los verbos que acaban en CONSONANTE + Y la Y se sustituye por –ies (study-studies)

En el negativo: se pone sujeto + ‘DON‘T’ + verbo

- Para la tercera persona: He / she / it + ‘DOESN‘T’ + verbo

En el interrogativo: se pone ‘DO’ + sujeto + verbo

- Para la tercera persona: ‘DOES’ + he / she / it + verbo

3. FREQUENCY ADVERBS Indican la frecuencia (alta, media o baja), pero NO el número de veces, con la que se hace una acción. Ejemplo: ―yo voy al cine a menudo‖

Se ponen DETRÁS del sujeto y JUSTO DELANTE del verbo*

      Ejemplo: Do you always buy milk? I sometimes buy milk *

 Excepción: Se ponen DETRÁS del TO BE Ejemplo:

       I am often tired (Estoy a menudo cansada)

4. TIME EXPRESSIONS (expresiones de tiempo)

Indican el número de veces que se hace una acción. Ejemplo: ―yo voy al cine una vez a la semana‖
